We Tried 18 Magic Mushroom Gummies: Here’s the Best & Worst Brands for 2024

Learn about the different magic mushroom gummies on the market, including the ones to buy, the ones to avoid, the best for microdosing, and the best for tripping…

The magic mushroom market is exploding. Although psilocybin (the active ingredient in magical shrooms) remains illegal in most parts of the world, several online vendors are popping up — especially in Canada, where the police are way more relaxed in terms of psychoactive substances.

These vendors sell dried magic mushrooms, truffles, and a variety of psilocybin products, including gummies.

The landscape looks quite different in the United States. Here, shrooms are still strictly enforced, so the best options are legal alternatives like Amanita muscaria extract gummies (we cover this in more detail below).

In this guide, we’ll be reviewing and ranking the best and worst gummies we’ve tried so far (updated February 2024).

Quick Jump:

We’ll also be answering some frequently asked questions about psilocybin gummies, other magic mushroom edibles, and psychedelic mushrooms in general.

Best Shroom Gummy Vendors For 2024

Magic mushrooms remain illegal in most countries, so order at your own risk.

We don’t encourage anybody to break the law. The following list is provided for informational purposes only. Order at your own risk.

All Recommended Brands:

  1. Area 52 (legal shroom company)
  2. Eden Direct
  3. Blue Goba
  4. Dose
  5. Zoomies
  6. Bright Future

For context, we’re based out of Canada, where magic mushrooms are still (technically) illegal but are readily sold online and in local brick-and-mortar shops. Several cities have already moved to decriminalize magic mushrooms here (including Toronto and Vancouver), and you can often find them being sold openly on beaches and parks.

Some people in the US are ordering from Canadian companies using mail forwarding services like Skypax — but keep in mind, this is also illegal, and there’s always a chance your package will be intercepted and confiscated at the border.

The best legal shroom options right now are companies like Area 52 that sell mushroom gummies that use a separate (legal) mushroom called Amanita muscaria. This mushroom is entirely distinct from psilocybin, so don’t expect the same trippy visuals — however, it is psychoactive and when mixed with other botanicals like blue lotus or cannabis, they can still hit pretty hard.

Here’s a list of the best vendors we’ve tried so far. If there’s any you think we missed please reach out to feedback@tripsitter.com so we can give them a try.

1. Area 52 (Best Legal Shroom Gummies)

Area 52 specializes in legal psychoactive plant extracts. They’ve been selling some of the highest-quality cannabis gummies we’ve ever tried — including their impressively potent all-hemp delta 9 THC gummies (called UFO gummies), which are completely compliant with US federal law.

We recently had a chance to try the company’s new Magic Pluto Mushroom Gummies — which are made using the Amanita muscaria mushroom extract (muscimol) in combination with their THC extract, blue lotus flower, ashwagandha, dream herb (Calea zacatechichi) and various other plant extracts.

Note: These gummies do not contain psilocybin. They are designed to offer a viable legal alternative to these mushrooms using other psychoactive mushrooms and psychoactive plant extracts.

2. Eden Direct

Eden is a New York-based magic mushroom and cannabis vendor that ships a wide range of dehydrated mushrooms and psilocybin edibles country-wide. They have a variety of magic mushroom gummies from their own brand (Eden Gummies) and others.

In our opinion, not all of the gummies on Eden are 100% legit, so you have to be vigilant when ordering from them. With that said, they offer a fast and efficient service, are discreet, and provide free shipping on orders over $100.

This vendor has mixed reviews. Most are positive, but some people claim to have received poor-quality or “fake” edibles from them. If you decide to purchase through Eden Direct, do so at your discretion. If another vendor is available, it may be wiser to go through them for psilocybin gummies.

Shipping: USA-Only 🇺🇸

3. Blue Goba

Blue Goba is a large online magic mushroom vendor serving the Canadian market. Their product range is extensive. They sell a wide range of dehydrated and freeze-dried mushrooms, microdoses, capsules, chocolates, gummies, and teas.

Blue Goba’s gummy range is vast. They have teamed up with “BLU BIJOU” to create their own “tried and tested” gummies that come with certified psilocybin test reports — something unusual for products in this space. They also sell a variety of other edibles from reputable companies such as STEM and LUCID.

They provide discreet packaging, fast shipping times, free shipping on orders over $150, and a 10% discount on orders over $350.

Shipping: Canada Only 🇨🇦

4. Dose

Dose is a Canadian magic mushroom vendor that sells a variety of products, from dried mushrooms and microdose capsules to psilocybin chocolates and gummies.

Dose offers a variety of psilocybin gummies from a range of reputable brands, such as Seremoni, Moons, and Cubes. They provide gummies in a range of potencies from 150 mg to 1000 mg (per gummy) and flavors from blackberry to mango.

They provide fast shipping in discreet packaging and offer free shipping on orders over $99. They also have a range of discounts, rewards, and loyalty schemes.

Shipping: Canada Only 🇨🇦

5. Zoomies Canada

Zoomies is a Canadian psychedelics vendor that has a wide product range. They sell several strains of Psilocybe cubensis, as well as a few other species of magic mushrooms, in dehydrated and freeze-dried formats. They also offer a wide range of psilocybin chocolate, tea, capsules, and gummies.

Zoomies stock a huge range of gummies from a variety of different companies. They offer gummies for microdosing and some that’ll induce a strong psychedelic trip.

They have discreet packaging, fast shipping, and free shipping on orders over $149. They also run campaigns, offers, and rewards, including 20% off your first order.

Shipping: Canada Only 🇨🇦

6. Bright Future

Bright Future is a Canada-based psychedelic microdose company based out of Vancouver. Like most of the brands on this list (with the exception of Area 52 and Eden), you can only order these gummies to a Canadian address.

We love this company’s mission and branding, and the simplicity of their product line. You can order psilocybin gummies as well as chocolates, capsules, drink powders, and tinctures.

Magic Mushroom Gummy Reviews

There are hundreds of different psilocybin gummies around, and new products are released all the time and our team is constantly testing them out.

We’ve found many of these companies to be legit — containing quality ingredients and genuine psychedelic tryptamines from magic mushrooms — but others are far more sketchy, impotent, or straight-up scammy products.

Here, we’ll cover the good, the bad, and the ugly so you know where to look when buying magic mushroom gummies online.

Top-Rated Gummy Products For 2024 ✅

We love it when companies take on the responsibility of proving the quality of their products instead of making consumers place blind trust in something that could harm them.

Here are the best products we’ve tried so far — based on the effects, trustworthiness of the company, and price.

1. Area 52 Magic Pluto Mushroom Gummies (Best Legal Shrooms for Americans)

Tripsitter Ranking10/10
Trust Score10/10
Potency (Per Gummy)10 mg Muscimol + 15 mg Hemp Extract
TasteCelestial Cherry
Cost$69 for 20 Gummies
Sold ByArea 52

Area 52 is the only brand on our list that doesn’t sell psilocybin mushrooms — but this also makes them the only company on this list that’s fully legal to buy and use in the United States.

Area 52 uses a different species of mushroom called the Amanita muscaria (Fly Agaric Mushroom) 🍄, which contains a psychoactive compound called muscimol. This compound is distinctly trippy, but not in the same way as psilocybin. The best way I can describe this effect is “lucid” — you feel as though you’re sort of in a waking dream.

It becomes difficult to distinguish the true size of objects or distances, a fog of lucidity appears over the periphery, and colors seem to pop with more clarity and vibrancy than usual.

Don’t expect the same experience as psilocybin — but it’s trippy nonetheless.

This mushroom is especially fun to use in the evenings. After a few hours of trippiness, the mushrooms make you feel super relaxed and help you drift off into a deep, dream-filled sleep.

I’ve found these mushrooms are extremely useful for helping me lucid dream (dreams in which the dreamer is aware they’re asleep and are in full control of the experience).

Other synergistic ingredients in this blend make the effects especially pronounced — namely hemp extract (containing THC, CBD, CBC, and more), Mexican dream herb (Calea zacatechichi), blue lotus flower (Nymphaea caerulea), 5HTP, vitamin B6, L-theanine, and ashwagandha (Withania somnifera).

2. BLU RASP Psilocybin Gummies

Tripsitter Ranking10/10
Trust Score10/10
Potency (Per Gummy)500 mg
TasteSour Blue Raspberry
Cost$64.99 for 8 Gummies
Sold ByBlue Goba

The BLU RASP psilocybin gummies have been developed by the magic mushroom vendor “Blue Goba” in partnership with their confectioner, “Blu Bijou.” These are some of the most trustworthy magic mushroom gummies we’ve found. They’ve been developed over several months and are tested for potency regularly — customers can view psilocybin/psilocin results on their website.

Blu Goba sells a range of legitimate dehydrated and freeze-dried mushrooms, meaning it’s unlikely that they’ve developed these gummies with synthetic tryptamines.

There are very few psilocybin gummy products that we can be 100% certain of, but these are definitely legitimate.

The active tryptamines in the BLU RASP gummies have been extracted from lyophilized (freeze-dried) Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms. According to Blu Goba, this gives the gummies a fuller spectrum of tryptamines with very little noticeable mushroom flavor. These gummies kick in fast and induce less stomach discomfort than many other psilocybin edibles.

One pack of BLU RASP psilocybin gummies contains eight 500 mg gummies, the equivalent of 4 grams of dried Psilocybe cubensis (per pack). These gummies have a sour, blue raspberry flavor.

3. Bright Future Nootropic Gummies

Tripsitter Ranking9/10
Trust Score10/10
Potency (Per Gummy)300 mg
TasteRaspberry Daiquiri, Mojito, & Strawberry Lemonade Margarita
Cost$45 for 10 Gummies
Sold ByZoomies

The Bright Future Nootropic gummies are made by the established microdosing brand “Bright Future” and contain dried Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms that are regularly tested for potency. Tryptamine test results aren’t available on the Bright Future website, but they will send a report via email upon request.

As a company, Bright Future seems dedicated to educating people about the benefits of psilocybin and providing the tools needed to help people improve their lives. The company is transparent and offers endless resources and information about its mission and the potential benefits of psilocybin (backed by scientific research).

Each pack of gummies — regardless of the flavor selected — contains 3000 mg of Psilocybe cubensis. There are ten gummies per pack, each containing 300 mg. Half a gummy is considered a microdose, a full gummy a macrodose, and two to three gummies will induce noticeable psychedelic effects.

4. Euphoria Psychedelics Psilocybin Gummies

Tripsitter Ranking8/10
Trust Score7/10
Potency (Per Gummy)1000 mg
TasteBlue Raspberry, Orange, Red Cherry, & Watermelon
Cost$18 for 8 Gummies
Sold ByZoomies

The Euphoria Psychedelics psilocybin gummies are unusual in their shape. Each pack contains just one 1000 mg gummy, but it’s shaped into an eight-block Lego brick. It can be split accurately into 125 mg microdoses using a knife or eaten whole for a psychedelic experience.

These gummies come in various flavor options — blue raspberry, red cherry, orange, and watermelon. They’re available through different vendors, but Zoomies appears to be the most reliable.

There’s very little information about the source of the psilocybin in these gummies. However, the brand sells a range of products, including shroom tea blends containing dried Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms. We’re fairly sure these gummies do contain natural psychedelic tryptamines from magic mushrooms.

They have plenty of positive reviews on a range of vendor’s websites as well as Reddit. The only complaint about these gummies is that they’re a little weak. Unless you plan on microdosing, it’s best to purchase two gummy bricks, especially if you’re an experienced psychonaut.

5. Moons Psilocybin Gummies

Tripsitter Ranking8/10
Trust Score7/10
Potency Per Gummy (mg)150 mg
TasteBlackberry, Lychee, Mango, and Passionfruit
Cost$45 for 20 Gummies
Sold ByDose

The Moons psilocybin gummies contain 150 mg each. They’re available in various flavors, including blackberry, lychee, mango, and passionfruit. Each pack contains 20 gummies — totaling 3000 mg per pack.

Moons use Psilocybe cubensis in the production of these gummies. Although they don’t provide tryptamine reports with their products, they’re transparent about the ingredients in the gummies. We haven’t found similar packaging available to buy in bulk from China, and the reviews are mostly positive, with users claiming they induce a soft “natural” high.

One gummy is equivalent to a microdose — 0.15 grams of P. cubensis; 4 to 6 gummies is a moderate psychedelic dose — 0.60 to 0.90 grams of P. cubensis; 10 gummies or more is a strong dose — 1.50 grams or more of P. cubensis.

6. Mycology Psilocybin Gummies

Tripsitter Ranking9/10
Trust Score8/10
Potency (Per Gummy)250 mg or 500 mg
TasteBlue Raspberry, Cherry, Strawberry, & Watermelon
Cost$36 for 8 Gummies
Sold ByZoomies

The Mycology psilocybin gummies come in blue raspberry, cherry, strawberry, and watermelon. They’re available in two potency options — 200 mg (pack of eight gummies) and 500 mg (pack of four gummies).

These gummies appear to be legit. They claim to use the Melmac Psilocybe cubensis strain to produce all their products.

These aren’t pretty-looking gummies; they’re simple sugar-coated gummy cubes that aren’t particularly uniform. Some users have also reported the presence of some organic mushroom material within the gummies. Although this isn’t great from a texture point of view, it likely means they’re using actual shrooms in their production process.

Taste-wise, the Mycology gummies are great. They use strong artificial flavors that seem to cover up the taste of the mushrooms.

The 200 mg gummies are best for microdosing and macrodosing, and the 500 mg gummies are better for psychedelic doses. Two or more 500 mg Mycology gummies will induce psychedelic effects.

9. Shroomies Psilocybin Gummies

Tripsitter Ranking9/10
Trust Score10/10
Potency (Per Gummy)500 mg or 750 mg
TasteCherry Lime, Berry Sour, Sour Grape, & Orange
Cost$46 for 4 Gummies
Sold ByZoomies

Shroomies is a Canadian psilocybin edible brand that produces chocolates, gummies, and capsules. They use premium quality Golden Teacher (Psilocybe cubensis) mushrooms in all of their products and provide proof of this on their website.

Shroomies’ gummy candies come in two potency options — 500 mg and 750 mg per gummy. They pack a punch, and chowing down on a single 500 mg gummy will cause psychedelic effects. They come in cherry lime, berry sour, sour grape, and orange.

The 500 mg gummies are available in packs of two (1000 mg per pack), and the 750 mg gummies come in packs of four (3000 mg per pack). They can be divided up for microdosing or macrodosing, eaten whole for a moderate experience, or consumed in twos or threes for a stronger trip.

The Shroomies gummies have a smooth texture and strong, pleasant taste that covers up any “shroomy” notes.

Mid-Range Shroom Gummy Products (Honorable Mentions) 😐

Even in an unregulated space like shrooms, some companies go to great lengths to instill trust in potential customers, setting a high bar for other companies to compete with.

The following gummies didn’t make our top list yet because we can’t fully trust what’s in them, but they were psychoactive.

We’re pretty sure these gummies are safe and of decent quality, but we like to be certain of what we vouch for. These are the products we liked but couldn’t confirm the ingredients for.

10. Eden Macrodose Gummies

Tripsitter Ranking5/10
Trust Score5/10
Potency (Per Gummy)400 mg
TasteTropical Orange
Cost$65 for 10 Gummies
Sold ByEden Direct

The Eden macrodose gummies are Eden Direct’s own-brand psilocybin gummies and come in one flavor  — “tropical orange.” Each one contains 0.4 grams (400 mg) of psilocybin mushrooms — the species/strain isn’t specified. They’re enriched with vitamin C, organic turmeric, and black carrot and come in 4000 mg packs of 10.

There’s very limited information on these particular gummies, so we can’t vouch for their legitimacy. Eden claims the gummies are 100% organic and contain “full-spectrum organic psilocybin from mushrooms.” We’re not sure, but the company sells their own dried mushrooms, so we assume they also use real mushrooms in their edibles.

11. Mastermind Psilocybin Gummy Hearts

Tripsitter Ranking6/10
Trust Score7/10
Potency (Per Gummy)750 mg
TasteCherry, Grape, Lime, & Orange
Cost$44 for 4 Gummies
Sold ByZoomies

The Mastermind Gummy Hearts come in a 3000 mg pack of four, with each gummy containing 750 mg of Psilocybe cubensis. They come in a range of flavors, such as cherry, grape, lime, and orange, and you can get a mix of them in one pack.

One gummy will induce a light to moderate experience, and two or more will induce a strong psychedelic trip.

There’s a lack of information on the source of the psilocybin used. However, the company claims they use Psilocybe cubensis in all of their products.

These gummies do seem to be legit. Unlike many others, Mastermind appears to leave some organic material inside. You can see small pieces of ground mushroom in the translucent gummy hearts. They don’t seem to be using the most advanced manufacturing/extraction techniques, but the presence of some organic matter provides peace of mind that they’re not using research chemicals.

The presence of fungal matter inside the gummies is a bit of a double-edged sword. Although this (almost) proves that the psilocybin is from a natural source, the texture is a little odd, and they’re more likely to cause stomach discomfort after consumption.

With all that said, these gummies actually taste good, but you may need a sip of water to wash the fine particles of mushrooms down.

12. Wonder Psilocybin Gummies

Tripsitter Ranking7/10
Trust Score6/10
Potency (Per Gummy)300 mg
TasteBlackberry, Cranberry, Cherry Cola, & Watermelon
Cost$42 for 10 Gummies
Sold ByZoomies

The Wonder psilocybin gummies are available from different mushroom vendors and come in flavors such as blackberry, cranberry, cherry cola, and watermelon. Each 10-piece pack of gummies contains 3000 mg (3 grams) of Psilocybe cubensis — 300 mg per gummy.

The Wonder gummies appear to be legitimate, but there are a couple of things that put us off slightly.

Wonder claims that all their products are made using Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms that are third-party tested. However, the test results aren’t available to view anywhere online. That seems a little strange to us — if you’re testing your products, why not show the results?

Regardless, these gummies seem to induce the right kind of effects, and they have plenty of positive reviews on Reddit. However, we can’t be 100% of their content (this is pretty “normal” in this space).

Half a gummy is considered a microdose, one gummy is a macrodose, and two to three gummies will induce moderate psychedelic effects.

AVOID: Shroom Gummies to Stay Away from ❌

There’s no doubt in our minds that it’s best to avoid the following edibles. Most of these failed because we found them to contain something other than psilocybin, weren’t effective, or took our money and disappeared.

Mibblers

Tripsitter Ranking1/10
Trust Score1/10
Potency Per Gummy (mg)Unknown
TasteSweet Tart

Sold ByAvoid

There’s a lack of information surrounding the Mibblers hard candies. The likelihood of these being legit is quite low.

We can’t say with 100% certainty whether Mibblers contain psilocybin from magic mushrooms or a similar synthetic compound. Each bag supposedly contains 2000 mg of psilocybin mushrooms with an unlabeled quantity of small, hard, pill-shaped candies inside. This makes dosing accurately pretty difficult.

There’s no evidence to back up the legitimacy of these candies, and we haven’t found a brand website or social media account anywhere.

It’s likely a scam or contains a research chemical that induces similar effects to psilocybin. We advise you to steer clear of Mibblers, at least until more information on the brand and company becomes available.

MycroChips

Tripsitter Ranking1/10
Trust Score1/10

The MycroChips Gummies come in 4000 mg packs of 16 gummies — 250 mg per gummy — and there’s a range of flavors to choose from, such as blackberry lemonade, strawberry, peach, and green apple. However, there are a lot of red flags with this “company.”

For a start, the MycroChips packaging for both their gummies and chocolate bars can be purchased in bulk from Alibaba and AliExpress. A range of websites also use the name “MycroChips” in the URL. Many of these websites are known scams.

From reviews on Reddit, we’ve found some people who have purchased gummies in the MycroChips packaging and had a good experience and others who have been scammed, sold inactive edibles, or speculated that they contain research chemicals.

This is a product and company to steer clear of. Anyone can purchase the packaging from China and put their own product inside, making it a huge risk.

Shroomburst

You may have seen “magic mushroom gummies” floating around the internet under the name “Shroomburst.” I’ll get straight to the point: products sold under this name are extremely risky.

Shroomburst packaging is available to purchase from Chinese wholesale websites such as Alibaba. Although some legitimate magic mushroom gummy manufacturers may be using this packaging, most of the reports we’ve seen are negative.

We’ve heard from angry psychonauts who’ve either been scammed completely, sold inactive gummies, or have experienced a rough trip due to gummies that contain an unidentified research chemical.

Steer clear of Shroomburst gummies at all costs.

Wonder Rope

Wonder Rope psilocybin mushroom candies have been circulating the internet for a while. The contents in these “Wonder Ropes” vary — that’s the first red flag. Some contain small chewy candy balls, and others contain a gummy rope (as you’d expect from the product name).

When you search “Wonder Rope,” several similar-looking vendors appear. These websites look sketchy, and “new” sites often appear that look identical but have different URLs. Many also claim that the Wonder Rope is from the same brand that makes Wonder chocolate and gummies — this is not the case.

One of our team members based out of the US tried this mystery candy. They reported no effects whatsoever. There’s no way of telling what’s actually inside this product or when you’ve found a legit source or not because the company offers no specific details, no authentication process, and no third-party testing.

If a Wonder Rope has any effects at all, it’s more than likely from a synthetic psychedelic compound similar to psilocybin.

Steer clear of Wonder Rope “psilocybin” candy.

PolkaDot

Tripsitter Ranking5/10
Trust Score2/10
Potency Per Gummy (mg)800 mg
TasteAssorted Flavors
Cost$40 for 5 Gummies
Sold ByPolkadot

Polkadot is one of the oldest brands in the American magic mushroom market. They’ve been operating (illegally) for several years now and have dozens of products to choose from.

These products (if you can find the legit source) aren’t bad — but they very likely contain 4-AcO-DMT rather than psilocybin. If the company didn’t market them as “psilocybin” products, we’d be willing to give them a pass, but the unethical marketing and false claims this company has been making over the past few years makes it impossible for us to recommend them.

We ordered our samples from the Polkadot Telegram channel, and they were definitely psychedelic, but the slow onset time (over 2 hours) makes us pretty confident they aren’t true psilocybin gummies.

If you choose to try these gummies anyway, be extra careful about scams — as one of the first and most established companies in this space, there’s a ton of copycats.

What Are Magic Mushroom Gummies

Magic mushroom gummies are small jelly-like candies infused with psilocybin and other tryptamines from psychedelic fungi such as Psilocybe cubensis. They provide a convenient and more palatable way of consuming psilocybin than eating raw magic mushrooms — and they are easier on the stomach.

Magic mushroom gummies can be used for microdosing or inducing a psychedelic trip and come in a range of different potencies, flavors, shapes, and sizes.

You can also find magic mushroom gummies made with the unrelated mushroom — Amanita muscaria — which is less psychedelic than psilocybin mushrooms, but legal worldwide.

Are Magic Mushroom Gummies Legal?

No. In most places, including the US, magic mushroom gummies aren’t legal. However, some states have legalized, decriminalized, or made psilocybin accessible for medical use.

The following states have state-wide or local municipality-based decriminalization/deprioritization clauses:

In Canada, psychedelic substances are illegal, but the laws are rarely enforced on people who use magic mushrooms or the several stores dotted around the country that sell them. There are a variety of physical and online magic mushroom vendors that sell gummies in Canada. In fact, 90% of the gummy brands on our list are Canadian.

Although law enforcement in Canada turns a blind eye to psilocybin gummies and other magic mushroom products, they are still illegal. The chance is slim, but you could face charges for possessing them. With that said, psilocybin in Canada will likely follow a similar route as cannabis — becoming legal and regulated in the coming years.

In Europe, there are a few places that have decriminalized drugs or made certain psilocybin products legal.

In the Netherlands, psilocybin-containing sclerotia (magic truffles) are legal and can be purchased from physical and online “Smart Shops.” However, magic mushrooms and psilocybin gummies are illegal.

In Portugal, all drugs are decriminalized, meaning consuming and possessing magic mushrooms or gummies for personal use isn’t a punishable offense. However, selling psilocybin products is restricted, so they can be difficult to find.

In Austria, psilocybin is decriminalized for research purposes. Producing, selling, or consuming psilocybin mushrooms or gummies is still restricted. It’s an unusual loophole, but it makes magic mushrooms more accessible for those who want to “study” them.

Are Magic Mushroom Gummies Safe?

Magic mushroom gummies are generally safe for consumption if they’re legit and contain psilocybin from a natural source. Of course, any substance can be dangerous if abused, so use gummies responsibly.

The biggest safety concern comes from the current lack of regulation in the magic mushroom space.

It’s relatively easy to tell if a raw magic mushroom is legit, but it’s impossible to know if a gummy is what the brand says it is.

Several gummies labeled “magic mushroom gummies” are circulating but do not contain compounds from natural sources. Instead of containing psilocybin and other naturally occurring tryptamines found in magic mushrooms, some brands sell gummies that contain no psilocybin at all or, worse, unregulated research chemicals.

Purchasing a shroom gummy that’s not psychedelic is annoying, but taking a gummy that produces intense psychedelic effects from an unknown source is scary.

If you decide to consume magic mushroom gummies purchased from an online source, you do so at your own risk. We’ve tried our best to rank the gummies in this guide based on trustworthiness, but we can’t be 100% sure of their legitimacy.

It’s impossible to tell what they contain without laboratory testing. Even home test kits such as the Miraculix Psilocybin Test can produce false positives for synthetic tryptamines.

Anyone can produce packaging that says “magic mushroom gummies” or “contains psilocybin,” and as it stands, there’s no regulatory force preventing people from selling “fake” psilocybin gummies.

If you’re worried about potentially consuming gummies that contain synthetic tryptamines, we recommend making magic mushroom gummies at home or using raw, unprocessed mushrooms.

Psilocybin Gummy Potency Explained

Psilocybin gummies come in a range of potencies in either grams or milligrams. Often, the gummies are labeled as having “X-milligrams of psilocybin per gummy,” but in reality, this level is actually milligrams of “magic mushrooms.”

One gram of dried magic mushroom is equivalent to 1000 milligrams, not 1000 mg of pure psilocybin. This dosage includes psilocybin (around 10 to 30 milligrams, depending on the potency of the mushrooms used) but also all other tryptamines present in shrooms — psilocin, baeocystin, aeruginascin, norbaeocystin, etc.

If you’ve taken magic mushrooms before and know roughly how much you need (in dry weight) to reach your desired effects, you can use this information to work out your gummy dosage.

When a gummy says it contains “500 mg,” this is equivalent to around half a gram of dried Psilocybe cubensis. So, for example, if you usually consume two grams of dried magic mushrooms, you’d need around four 500 mg gummies to achieve the same effects.

Frequently Asked Questions

Now you know where to buy mushroom gummies, but there’s still a lot to know. Here are the answers to some FAQs.

1. What Other Magic Mushroom Edibles Can You Buy Online?

Gummies aren’t the only psilocybin-infused edibles that are appearing on the market. Dozens of other unique and innovative products provide the user with new, tasteful ways to consume shrooms.

Magic mushroom chocolate bars are just as popular as gummies. They contain magic mushrooms, and each square contains a set dose, making consuming a micro, macro, or psychedelic dose as easy as breaking off a few squares and eating them.

You can also find magic mushroom tea blends, hot chocolates, and coffee blends for sale online. Microdose capsules are also available for those who want to supplement with psilocybin without the need to eat edibles or raw shrooms.

2. Can You Make Magic Mushroom Gummies at Home?

Yes. You can make magic mushroom gummies at home, and it’s much easier than you might think. Making them might be better than buying them online because you can be certain of their contents, dosage, and quality.

All you’ll need are dried magic mushrooms, lemon juice, water, agar powder, granulated sugar, and flavorings and colorings of your choice.

The process is relatively simple but requires accurate measuring to ensure the gummies have the right consistency.

First, grind the shrooms and heat them in lemon juice to extract the active tryptamines. Strain the organic material and combine the liquid with water, sugar, and agar powder. Pour this into gummy molds and allow to set in the refrigerator.

3. Do Magic Mushroom Gummies Feel Different from Normal Mushrooms?

Magic mushroom gummies shouldn’t feel different from raw, dried magic mushrooms. The active alkaloids in gummies should be the same as those in the raw mushrooms — if they’re legit.

Psilocybin gummies should cause the same psychedelic effects as consuming unprocessed mushrooms. If the effects feel “synthetic” or vastly different from normal shrooms, the gummies are likely infused with some kind of research chemical. If this is the case, stop consuming the gummies immediately.

After consuming true magic mushroom gummies, you should feel the following:

  • Altered perceptions of time
  • Altered thought patterns
  • Enhanced empathy and connectedness
  • Euphoria
  • Introspection
  • Relaxation and a sense of peacefulness
  • Visual and audible hallucinations
  • Waves of energy

4. How Can You Store Psilocybin Gummies to Maintain Their Potency?

Psilocybin and psilocin are relatively “delicate” compounds, and they break down naturally over time, meaning that many magic mushrooms, gummies, or other edibles will naturally lose potency. The way your gummies are stored will affect how quickly they lose potency.

Gummies that are stored incorrectly are more likely to lose potency faster than those that are stored in optimum conditions. Exposure to heat and light are the main factors that can negatively impact the potency of psilocybin and magic mushroom products.

Store gummies in an airtight container (ideally glass) and leave them in a cool, dark place out of direct sunlight, such as in a cool cupboard that doesn’t get opened frequently.

It’s possible to store gummies in the refrigerator — this will prolong their shelf life, but it often alters the texture and flavor. The gummies can become wet and sticky, even in an airtight container. Avoid storing them in the fridge unless the temperature inside your house is abnormally high.

Although not necessary for regulating psilocybin decay, always store your gummies in a childproof container and/or out of reach of children and pets.

5. How Quickly Do Shroom Edibles Kick In Compared to Other Consumption Methods?

Magic mushroom gummies and other edibles can have a delayed onset compared to other consumption methods. As a general rule, magic mushroom gummies take between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours to kick in. The exact onset time can vary due to several factors, such as body weight, metabolism, tolerance, and potency of the gummies.

The onset time of psilocybin gummies is relatively similar to consuming raw, unprepared magic mushrooms. However, due to the lack of organic material in gummies, the digestive system doesn’t have to work as hard to access and metabolize the psilocybin. This can lead to a faster onset of effects (on an empty stomach) and less discomfort after consumption.

The consumption method with the quickest onset time is, without a doubt, tea. Making magic mushroom tea removes the organic elements of the mushrooms, leaving a psilocybin-infused liquid. This essentially leaves nothing for the body to digest, meaning the psilocybin is metabolized in the liver much faster.

Taking magic mushroom tea on an empty stomach allows you to feel the effects in as little as 15 minutes. Even in an unfasted state, the effects usually kick in within 20 to 45 minutes.
