The Magic Kingdom chocolate bars are sold online and in magic mushroom dispensaries across Canada. It’s a recognizable brand and often one of the first to pop up after searching for magic mushroom or psilocybin chocolate. However, we’ve discovered several red flags with this brand, and we don’t believe it’s legitimate.
The Magic Kingdom chocolate bar packaging can be purchased in bulk from Chinese wholesalers, such as DHgate, Alibaba, and AliExpress. Anyone can buy the packaging and fill it with any sort of chocolate, be it completely inactive or infused with potentially dangerous psychedelic research chemicals.

Are Magic Kingdom Chocolate Bars Legit?
In this section, we usually outline the positive (green flags) and negative (red flags) points of a psilocybin edible. However, we’ve only found red flags while researching Magic Kingdom chocolate bars. We don’t recommend purchasing and consuming these edibles — it’s highly unlikely that they contain psilocybin from magic mushrooms.
Here’s why it’s best to avoid the Magic Kingdom chocolate bars:
The first major red flag is that Magic Kingdom chocolate bar packaging is available to buy in bulk from wholesalers on DHgate, Alibaba, and AliExpress. Anyone can buy the packaging and fill it with whatever chocolate bar they want. It’s impossible to know what’s inside Magic Kingdom packaging, making it high-risk.
The second red flag is the number of sketchy-looking online vendors selling chocolate bars under this brand. Many vendors selling Magic Kingdom chocolate bars also sell fake magic mushroom products, such as PolkaDot gummies, Willy Wonka bars, and Shroomburst gummies.
These vendors disappear as quickly as they appear online. They’re out to either scam customers out of their money or sell inactive edibles or products containing research chemicals.
The brand itself doesn’t have a website or genuine social media account, and the vendor website descriptions are vague and absurd.
Many descriptions claim that the Magic Kingdom chocolate “was created by two culinary chefs of Michelin-starred restaurants who came together to create a product that bridges the micro-doses with the macro-doses of “Magic Mushrooms.” — Sound ridiculous?
We think so, too.
Nothing in the vendor descriptions or packaging states magic mushrooms are used in these bars. They’re labeled “4 g per package” and “0.5 g per piece (500 mg)” — this could quite literally mean anything.
If all of this wasn’t enough to rule Magic Kingdom chocolates as illegitimate, we found a variety of reviews on Reddit that confirm our thoughts.
People have purchased these bars and eaten more than ten squares without the slightest feeling of euphoria. Others have eaten a few squares, felt nauseous, and experienced intense effects that are unlike any natural magic mushrooms they’ve eaten before.
It’s best to steer clear of Magic Kingdom chocolate, even if your local, trusted shroom vendor sells it over the counter. It’s impossible to know how they’re made and what effects they may or may not have when ingested.
The Potency of the Magic Kingdom Chocolate Bar
The Magic Kingdom chocolate bar labels say, “four grams per package” and 0.5 grams (500 mg) per square.
We assume the packaging refers to “four grams” of Psilocybe cubensis in each bar. However, it’s doubtful that anyone buys Magic Kingdom packaging online and fills it with genuine magic mushroom chocolate bars.
What Do Magic Kingdom Chocolate Bars Taste Like?
The Magic Kingdom bars — or at least the packaging available on DHgate and Alibaba — come in milk chocolate, strawberry shortcake, cookies & cream, hazelnut crunch, and acai flavors.
The descriptions state that “all Magic Kingdom bars use the finest Belgian chocolate to create a smooth and rich texture that melts in your mouth.”
Even if these bars are made from “the finest Belgian chocolate,” they definitely aren’t made with the finest magic mushrooms.
These chocolates probably taste just as good as any other off-the-shelf chocolate bar, but that’s not why people purchase these confectionary items. There are far better options for those seeking a tasty chocolate bar that’ll induce psychedelic effects.
Alternatives to the Magic Kingdom Chocolate Bar
Although Magic Kingdom chocolate bars aren’t all they’re cracked up to be, a few brands in this space produce high-quality psilocybin edibles from real P. cubensis mushrooms.
Here are four real psilocybin chocolate alternatives to the Magic Kingdom chocolate bar:
1. Neau Tropics Magic Mushroom Chocolate Bars
Neau Tropics is famed for its potent, high-quality magic mushroom chocolate bars in various flavors. Regular milk, dark, and white chocolate bars are available, as well as a range of more exciting flavors such as cookies & cream, strawberry shortcake, and matcha.
Bars are available in two-gram and four-gram options, but the six-gram bar is the most popular.
The Neau Tropics six-gram chocolate bar contains 6000 mg of Psilocybe cubensis, split into 16 squares. Each square has a dose of roughly 375 mg. Take one square for a microdose, two to three for a light dose, and three or more for a strong dose.
We’ve awarded the Neau Tropics chocolate bars a 9/10 Tripsitter Ranking for their superior potency and flavor range. They also get a 9/10 Trust Score. However, many fake Neau Tropics bars are floating around the market.
Neau Tropics doesn’t have a website or supply vendors with their chocolates or gummies. If you find a website selling Neau Tropics chocolate bars, they are likely fakes.

The Blu Bijou chocolate bars have 3000 mg of Blue Goba’s Goldmember Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms per bar. They’re divided into 24 squares, each containing a dose of 125 mg. One square is a microdose, two a macrodose, and three or more will induce psychedelic effects.

3. Bright Future Magic Chocolate
The Bright Future Magic chocolate comes in a choice of two flavors — dark chocolate with sea salt or original milk chocolate.
Each bar contains 3000 mg of P. cubensis mushrooms and is split into ten squares, each with a dose of 300 mg. Half a square is a microdose, a full square is a light macrodose, two squares are a light psychoactive dose, and three or more will induce noticeable psychedelic effects.
Bright Future manufactures a range of magic mushroom products. They’re most famous for their microdose capsules but also produce magic mushroom tea blends, gummies, and tinctures. This company is reputable and uses high-quality ingredients and psilocybin from real P. cubensis shrooms — this is why we’ve awarded Bright Future a 10/10 Tripsitter Ranking and a 10/10 Trust Score.
4. Blu Bijou Jewels (½ Gram Chocolates)
The Blu Bijou Jewels are made using Blue Goba’s premium freeze-dried Goldmember Psilocybe cubensis shrooms. They come in packs of six or twelve and contain 500 mg per piece.
These diamond-shaped, bite-sized chocolates can be eaten whole for a light psychedelic experience or consumed in multiples for a strong psychedelic trip. Buy them from the Blue Goba website, where they’re available for shipping across Canada (no international shipping).
We’ve awarded Blu Bijou Jewels a 10/10 Tripsitter Ranking and a 10/10 Trust Score.

1. Can You Make Psilocybin Chocolate At Home?
Yes. It’s possible to make psilocybin chocolate bars at home, and it’s surprisingly easy. You can never be sure of the quality or contents of the magic mushroom chocolate bars you purchase online. By making shroom chocolate yourself, you can be sure of the final product’s ingredients, potency, and quality.
There are a few ways to make psilocybin chocolate at home, but using a pre-made chocolate bar is the easiest. Melt it down, combine it with your chosen amount of dried magic mushrooms, and set it in a chocolate mold.

2. What’s the Easiest Magic Mushroom Species to Grow?
There are over 180 species of psilocybin-producing fungi. Many of them are extremely difficult to grow in an artificial environment, indoors or outdoors. However, one species shines as “the easiest magic mushroom species to grow.”
Psilocybe cubensis has been cultivated for decades. This species is made up of over 100 different strains, all with differences in visual and chemical characteristics. Most strains of P. cubensis are easy to cultivate, but some strains stand out as the best for beginners.
The easiest Psilocybe cubensis mushroom to grow is Golden Teacher. This strain has been dubbed the easiest strain for beginner growers. However, it’s not the only easy-to-grow strain.
Here are some other strains that are suitable for beginners:
- The Koh Samui Strain
- The Cambodian Strain
- A-Strain (A+)
- Florida White (F+)
- The Lipa Yai Strain
- The Amazon Strain
3. What Are Trip Killers?
“Trip killers” are substances that can “kill” a psychedelic trip. They help reduce the effects of psilocybin and other psychedelic substances so the user can end the experience as quickly as possible.
Trip killers should be used as a last resort when an experience takes a dark turn that could put the user or the people around them in danger.
The most effective trip killers are in the class of drugs called “benzodiazepines.” Drugs such as Xanax, Ativan, and Valium can be taken during a difficult psilocybin experience to dull the effects and kill the trip. They tend to take effect within 20 minutes and dull the psychedelic effects (almost) fully after around an hour.
