Shroomburst gummies are all over the place at the moment. When you search for “magic mushroom gummies,” this brand will likely be one of the top results. However, they don’t sit right with us.

There’s very little information about this brand online. They don’t have a website, and the vendors selling the gummies seem sketchy at best. Although there’s a slim chance Shroomburst is legit, we believe they’re infused with a research chemical such as 4-AcO-DMT rather than psilocybin from magic mushrooms.

If you’re looking for psilocybin gummies, we’d advise you to steer clear of Shroomburst and opt for gummies from a more reputable brand such as Neau Tropics, Blue Goba, or Bright Future.

Is Shroomburst Legit?

In short, no. Shroomburst isn’t a legitimate magic mushroom edible brand. This brand has several red flags, and products sold under the name could be dangerous. We advise avoiding Shroomburst gummies and looking into more reputable psilocybin edible brands that utilize real shrooms in their production.

There’s a slim chance Shroomburst gummies contain psilocybin from magic mushrooms, but with a lack of information on the company manufacturing them, we haven’t been able to verify any of the statements made on the packaging.

Here’s why we believe it’s best to avoid Shroomburst gummies:

1. Lack of Company Information

The first red flag concerns the company’s lack of information about the ingredients used to produce their gummies. Of course, it’s not unusual for companies in this space to operate “under the radar,” but most reputable brands will at least provide details on psilocybin source, potency, and ingredients or flavors.

2. Sold by Sketchy Vendors

The second red flag is the lack of genuine online vendors selling these gummies. Several pop-up vendors are selling Shroomburst gummies alongside other dodgy psilocybin edible brands such as Mibblers, PolkaDot, and One Up.

3. Questionable Packaging

The third red flag we’ve found is the variation in the Shroomburst packaging. We’ve seen alterations in colors and graphics on the packaging and unprofessional photographs of the product — often taken on someone’s dirty carpet or kitchen surface. To me, this doesn’t shout “quality product.”

We haven’t found the Shroomburst packaging for sale on any wholesale websites such as DHgate or Alibaba. However, it seems that a few different “companies” get similar-looking packaging made to sell their gummies. This makes it impossible to know exactly what’s in a pack of Shroomburst.

The Potency of Shroomburst Gummies

The Shroomburst gummies are labeled to contain “400 mg of psilocybin per square” — we assume they mean 400 mg of “magic mushrooms” because 400 mg of pure psilocybin is enough to send an elephant to space.

Each bag is also labeled “4 grams per bag” — four grams of what? We’re not sure.

One gummy is said to induce a mild psychedelic experience, and two or more will induce strong psychedelic effects.

What Do Shroomburst Gummies Taste Like?

Shroomburst gummies are designed to look and taste similar to the Starburst fruit-flavored chews.

Although they’re shaped the same and appear to use similar fruit flavorings, the texture is completely different. Shroombursts are gummy candies, whereas Starbursts are chewy candies.

There doesn’t appear to be any organic matter in these gummies, and they don’t leave an earthy, “mushroom” aftertaste. While that sounds great, it’s actually not. Those two things are almost sure signs that real shrooms were used. These gummies likely taste fantastic, but that’s probably because they don’t have any traces of magic mushrooms in them.

Alternatives to Shroomburst

Although Shroomburst isn’t the most trustworthy brand out there, there are other options if you’re looking for magic mushroom gummies. Although the psilocybin edible market is sketchy, some companies make legitimate gummies from natural psilocybin mushrooms.

Here are a few legit alternatives to Shroomburst gummies:

1. Neau Tropics Magic Mushroom Gummies

Neau Tropics is a legitimate company famed for the six-gram magic mushroom chocolate bars they produce. However, they also make a range of gummies that are impressively potent.

The Neau Tropics gummies are some of the finest around. They come in a choice of four flavors — sour green apple, PB & J, mango tajin, and peachy lychee. Each pack contains ten gummies with a total of 3000 mg (three grams) of Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms — around 300 mg per gummy.

This company is legitimate. However, there are a range of fakes appearing across the Internet. Neau Tropics only operates through its social media accounts; it doesn’t have a website or supply magic mushroom vendors with products. Any products sold outside of the Neau Tropics social accounts are likely fakes.

You can buy Neau Tropics gummies by contacting them through one of their Instagram accounts: @neautropics or @neautropics.official

Once you send a direct message, the company will contact you and direct you to an encrypted messaging service such as Telegram, where order information and delivery details can be shared.

We’ve given the Neau Tropics gummies a 9/10 Tripsitter Ranking for their wide range of flavors and impressive potency per gummy and a 9/10 Trust Score for their loyal customer base, informational social media accounts, and transparency of psilocybin source.

2. Blu Bijou Psilocybin Gummies

The Blu Bijou psilocybin gummies come in two flavors — Ki Berry (kiwi strawberry) and Blu Rasp (blue raspberry). They’ve been made in conjunction with the popular Canadian magic mushroom vendor Blue Goba and carry a variety of quality dehydrated and freeze-dried magic mushrooms and a small range of trusted psilocybin edibles.

The Blu Bijou gummies come in 4000 mg packs of eight. Each gummy contains 500 mg of Goldmember Psilocybe cubensis

One gummy will induce light psychedelic effects, two will induce a mild experience, and three or more will cause strong psychedelic effects. Alternatively, the gummies can be divided into sub-perceptual doses for regular microdosing.

These gummies have been made using an extraction technique that eliminates organic matter while retaining the full spectrum of the magic mushrooms. The effects are comparable to consuming raw shrooms while putting less strain on the digestive system, reducing the chance of stomach discomfort associated with raw mushroom consumption.

We’ve awarded these gummies a 10/10 Tripsitter Ranking and a 10/10 Trust Score for their potency, flavor, and legitimacy. You can buy Blu Bijou Ki-Berry and Blu Rasp gummies directly through the Blue Goba website. It’s unwise to purchase these gummies from alternate sources, as they could be fakes or some sort of scam.

3. Bright Future Nootropic Gummies

The Bright Future Nootropic gummies come in three flavor options — raspberry daiquiri, mojito, and strawberry lemonade margarita.

They are manufactured by the popular microdose brand “Bright Future,” which also makes capsules, tea, and magic chocolate. This brand is reputable and has a strong, loyal following of satisfied customers.

The Nootropic gummies come in packs of 10, containing 3000 mg of P. cubensis — around 300 mg per gummy. They can be divided in half for microdosing, consumed whole for macrodosing, and ingested in multiples to induce a psychedelic dose.

We’ve awarded the Bright Future Nootropic gummies a 9/10 Tripsitter Ranking and a 10/10 Trust Score. They’re manufactured by a company that appears to care about the therapeutic and physical benefits of psilocybin. They’re clear about their psilocybin source and are happy to answer any questions from curious psychonauts and potential customers.

You can purchase them directly from Bright Future or the magic mushroom vendor Zoomies (Canada only).

Frequently Asked Questions

Next, I’ll answer a few questions about shrooms and edibles.

1. Can You Make Magic Mushroom Gummies at Home?

Yes. Making psilocybin gummies at home is possible, and it’s actually quite simple. With a few simple ingredients and a decent dose of dried Psilocybe cubensis shrooms or similar, you can make magic mushroom gummies that are smooth, tasty, and free of organic matter.

The basic process involves taking a pre-weighed dose of dried magic mushrooms, extracting the actives using lemon juice, and combining that extract with water, sugar, and agar powder. This mixture is poured into a silicone gummy mold to set, then removed and allowed to air-dry to harden the exterior. You can then store them in jars for future consumption.

2. Are Psilocybin Edibles Legal?

In short, no, magic mushroom gummies aren’t legal — in most countries, at least.

In the United States and most of Europe, psilocybin — the active compound in magic mushroom gummies — is a restricted substance. Having psilocybin gummies can lead to hefty fines, a criminal record, and, in some places, jail time. With that said, the laws in some regions are more relaxed than in others.

In Canada, psilocybin is still restricted, meaning magic mushrooms and psilocybin edibles are technically illegal. However, law enforcement turns a blind eye to the sale, possession, and use of most “soft” substances. This relaxed attitude to psilocybin has led to an insurgence of physical and online magic mushroom dispensaries across the country.

Apart from a raid on a dispensary now and then, the sale and use of magic mushrooms are basically unrestricted. It’s possible to walk into a store or order psilocybin edibles online with little fear of legal repercussions.

It seems that psychedelics are following cannabis in Canada. Before legalization in 2018, cannabis dispensaries operated illegally in the country for years until the government eventually listened to the public and legalized the substance. Because of the progressive attitude of shroom vendors in the country and their belief that psilocybin should be legal, Canada is one of the best places to buy legitimate magic mushroom edibles.

The United States is a little different, but it seems magic mushrooms are slowly following suit with cannabis in the country. Although federally illegal, some states are altering the laws surrounding psilocybin. The US is far from total legalization, but small steps edge the country closer to relaxing its legislation.

In Europe, magic mushrooms and psilocybin edibles are illegal in most countries. Even in the liberal land of Holland, shroom chocolates and gummies are illegal — magic truffles are the only legal source of psilocybin.

In Portugal, all drugs have been decriminalized, meaning psilocybin edibles can be owned and consumed without fear of prosecution. However, drugs aren’t technically “legal,” which means they can’t be sold or distributed — this makes it challenging to source magic mushrooms and psilocybin edibles in the country.

3. What Other Types of Psilocybin Edibles Exist?

It’s not just magic mushroom gummies on the market. You’ll also find psilocybin chocolate bars, tea and coffee blends, capsules, and cookies. You can make pretty much any kind of food using magic mushrooms.

If you’re willing to get busy in the kitchen, you can cook up a three-course dinner with psychedelic mushrooms. Of course, I say this figuratively — by the second course, you’ll probably be too far gone to finish the rest. In all seriousness, the only thing limiting you in terms of trippy cuisine is your imagination.

It’s possible to make shroom pizza, pasta, cakes, smoothies, and more at home. If you want inspiration and a few recipes, check out this article: Trippy Cuisine: Learn How to Cook With Magic Mushrooms.

4. Are Magic Mushroom Gummies Good for Microdosing?

Magic mushroom gummies are a good consumption format for people who want to microdose psilocybin. These edibles contain an accurate dose of psilocybin per gummy.

Some companies, such as Euphoria Psychedelics, make specific “microdose gummies,” so it only takes a single gummy to reach a microdosed state. Other companies make gummies that contain psychedelic doses of P. cubensis in each gummy, meaning you must divide them into microdoses before using them.

Gummies provide a way to consume a psilocybin microdose accurately, conveniently, and discretely. They also make the experience more enjoyable than chewing up a microdose of raw mushrooms.

Gummies aren’t the only good way to consume psilocybin microdoses. Magic mushroom chocolate is often divided into squares containing sub-perceptual doses. Microdose capsules also exist for those who prefer to supplement by taking a pill instead of a sugary treat.
